Who we are

PeakPTE operates the marketing site at peakpte.com and the learner practice product at learn.peakpte.com. When this policy says “we” or “PeakPTE,” it means the operators of those services.

What this covers

This policy covers the PeakPTE marketing website and how it relates to analytics cookies. Account and practice data live mainly on the learner app. Where useful, we describe both so you can see the full picture. Paid Premium purchases are processed by Creem as Merchant of Record; see Sharing below and our Pricing page.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use PeakPTE, we may process:

Account details on the learner app, such as name, email, and WhatsApp number (required at sign-up so we can reach you).
Practice data such as attempts, answers, timing, and practice estimates. Answers stay in our application database, not in analytics event payloads.
Billing and subscription status when you buy Premium. Creem processes payment details as Merchant of Record. PeakPTE receives the status and duration information needed to provide access. We do not store full card numbers on PeakPTE systems.
Usage and device data on marketing pages when you accept analytics cookies, including pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, and similar technical signals.
Communications you send us (for example email to peakpte@818lab.com or WhatsApp messages about your account or practice).

Cookies and similar technologies

On peakpte.com we distinguish essential site operation from analytics:

Essential. Needed for the marketing site to load and for remembering your analytics preference in the browser (the peakpte_marketing_analytics_consent key in local storage). The marketing site does not keep a PeakPTE login session. Fonts are served from peakpte.com, not from Google.
Analytics (optional). If you choose Accept, we load PostHog (US Cloud at us.i.posthog.com) and Vercel Web Analytics to see how visitors use the site so we can make it faster and easier to use. That can include pages viewed, product funnels, errors, and (when enabled) session replay. Session replay only runs after you accept. If you choose Essential only, we do not load those analytics tools.

Auth cookies for learn.peakpte.com are set by the learner product so you can stay signed in. Those are necessary for the practice app and are separate from marketing analytics cookies. The learner and admin apps also use PostHog for product analytics and (when enabled) session replay. That product instrumentation is not gated by the marketing cookie banner.

You can accept or refuse marketing analytics on the first banner, and change that choice anytime via Cookie settings in the footer. We ask again after about 13 months, or if this policy’s analytics section changes. Product walkthrough clips, if shown, load a Streamable player only after you press play.

How we use information

Operate and improve PeakPTE practice and the marketing site.
Create and secure learner accounts.
Provide Premium access for the period you purchased.
Reach you on WhatsApp or email about access, product updates, or support.
Measure marketing and product performance when analytics consent is granted.
Detect abuse, debug failures, and protect the service.

Sharing

We use processors that help us run PeakPTE (for example hosting, database, and analytics providers). When you buy Premium, Creem processes the payment as Merchant of Record and may process buyer billing data under its own privacy terms. When you choose Accept on marketing, PostHog processes analytics data in the United States and Vercel processes aggregated Web Analytics for the marketing site. The learner and admin apps use PostHog as described above. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect PeakPTE, our users, or others.

Retention

We keep account and practice data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, support, and legal obligations. Billing records follow Creem’s retention as Merchant of Record, plus any access status we keep to deliver Premium. Analytics data follows our PostHog project retention settings. Your marketing analytics preference is stored in your browser until it expires (about 13 months), you clear site data, or you change it.

Your choices and rights

You can choose Accept or Essential only. Refusing does not block reading our guides. Cookie settings in the footer let you change the choice. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data. Children

PeakPTE is aimed at adults preparing for PTE Academic. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of peakpte.com after an update means you have seen the revised policy.
